Riccardo "Riky" Comini was born and raised in Italy, where he developed the entrepreneurial spirit and relationship-first philosophy that would define his career. Starting in the Italian industrial automation sector in the early 1980s, he quickly distinguished himself as a natural connector — someone who could bridge technical expertise with human trust to build lasting business relationships.
Over the course of 25 years with Deri Automation and MPM Srl, Riky honed his skills in international sales, business development, and general management across European markets. His reputation for integrity and his ability to forge genuine partnerships across cultures earned him the opportunity to join Molex in 2002 as Vice President of European Sales.
At Molex — a Koch Industries company and global leader in electronic components — Riky rose through successive leadership roles over two decades, ultimately serving as Senior Director of Industrial Automation. In this capacity, he drove Molex's Industry 4.0 strategy, championed the adoption of Single Pair Ethernet in European markets, and represented Molex in landmark industry alliances including the CC-Link Partner Association and the FIDO Alliance's IoT Device Onboarding working group.
Throughout his career, Riky has been defined not by titles, but by the relationships he has built and the people he has helped. Colleagues describe him as the person who always knows the right person for the right problem — and who makes the introduction without being asked. That instinct to connect, to give, and to lift others is the foundation of everything he does.
